Hi, I’m Stephanie. A mom of 4, wife and Jesus lover. I was almost defeated by postpartum depression after the births of my first two children. I was flailing and afraid in therapy, burnt out by a support system that didn’t understand, and completely drowning in overwhelming daily tasks and emotions.
I finally realized that if I wanted to survive, much less thrive, the next time had to be different.
For my next two children, I created and then successfully implemented a plan that constantly reminded me that there was a light at the end of the tunnel, and eventually allowed me to overcome postpartum depression and fully thrive as a mom.
If you are ready to find hope, knowledgeable support and practical steps to reign in the overwhelm that you can implement today, then this podcast is for you. I promise you are not alone and that there IS hope!
So take a second to close your eyes…take a deep breath in…exhale…and let’s take that first step together. Here we go!

Hi Mama,

Do you feel frustrated because you’re trying to take care of yourself, but between the baby, exhaustion, hormones, and endless responsibilities, losing weight feels almost impossible?
Are you looking for simple, sustainable ways to work toward your postpartum weight loss goals without extreme diets or unrealistic expectations?

I share part of my own experience of feeling frustrated with my changing body while also recognizing that postpartum weight loss is different from losing weight at another time in life. You'll learn how to approach your goals with compassion, prioritize protein and simple nutrition, move your body in realistic ways, protect your sleep and stress levels as much as possible, and focus on progress beyond the scale. Most importantly, you'll be reminded that your worth is not determined by your weight and that taking care of yourself is not selfish. Hi Mama,
Are you struggling with postpartum depression and wondering if medication could help—but feeling overwhelmed by all the options?
Have you heard people talk about postpartum depression medication and wondered, “Is there actually something specifically designed for what I’m going through?”
Are you looking for information that can help you have a more informed conversation with your healthcare provider about treatment options?
In this episode, we're talking about Zulresso (Now Zuranalone), one medication specifically approved for postpartum depression. I share part of my own experience of searching for answers during a difficult season of postpartum depression and eventually becoming part of a medical trial involving this treatment. You'll learn why Zulresso (now Zulranalone) was developed specifically with postpartum depression in mind and why medication is only one part of a larger healing journey. Most importantly, you'll be reminded that needing treatment does not mean you are weak, broken, or failing as a mother. You deserve to understand your options, ask questions, and receive the support you need.

Hi Mama,
Have you found yourself snapping at your spouse, your older kids, or even your baby—and then immediately drowning in guilt afterward?
Do you feel like postpartum has turned you into someone you barely recognize, leaving you wondering, “Why am I so angry all the time?”
Are you looking for practical ways to slow down your next outburst and understand what may be happening beneath the surface?
In this episode, we're talking about postpartum rage—something so many moms experience but so few people actually talk about. I share part of my own experience of feeling overwhelmed, reacting in anger, and then being consumed by guilt. You'll learn three practical tactics to help calm your next outburst: recognize your warning signs, press pause before the anger takes over, and address the deeper issues fueling your rage. Most importantly, you'll be reminded that postpartum rage does not mean you're a bad mom or that you don't love your children. Anger can be a signal that you're carrying too much and need support, and healing is possible.

Hi Mama,
Do you feel like no one truly understands what you're going through with postpartum depression or anxiety?
Have you found yourself struggling to explain how you're feeling and wishing someone could just understand without you having to find all the right words?
Are you looking for simple reminders that you are not a bad mom, you don't have to heal overnight, and you were never meant to carry postpartum alone?
In this episode, we're talking about five postpartum support quotes that can help put words to what you're feeling when postpartum depression or anxiety feels impossible to explain. I share part of my own experience of feeling incredibly alone during postpartum depression and how one simple quote made me feel understood when I couldn't find the words myself. You'll also learn how you can use these quotes to start conversations with your spouse, family, friends, or other moms and remind yourself that struggling postpartum does not make you a bad mother.

Hi Mama,
Have you ever left a therapy session feeling like you forgot to say the most important things?
Do you wonder if therapy is actually helping—or if you're somehow doing it “wrong”?
Are you looking for practical ways to feel more prepared and confident when you walk into your next postpartum depression therapy appointment?
In this episode, we're talking about four simple secrets that can help you get so much more out of your therapy sessions. I share part of my own story of struggling with postpartum depression and realizing that I was leaving therapy appointments wishing I had said more. You'll learn why writing things down can help when postpartum brain fog makes it difficult to remember your week, why telling your therapist the whole truth is so important, how asking questions can help you actually understand and practice the tools you're learning, and why so much of your healing can happen between therapy appointments as you put those tools into practice.

Hi Mama,
Are you three months postpartum—or even further along—and still feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself?
Have you been telling yourself that you just need more sleep, more time, or a better routine, while secretly wondering why you still don't feel like yourself?
Are you wondering if you're struggling with postpartum depression even though you've already been treated, or if what you're experiencing is simply part of being a new mom?
In this episode, we're talking about why continuing to struggle months after giving birth isn't something you should simply ignore or minimize. I share part of my own story of realizing that, even after receiving treatment for postpartum depression, I was still struggling three months after my daughter was born. We'll talk about why postpartum depression doesn't always look the way we expect it to, why so many moms become experts at minimizing what they're feeling, and the three important steps you can take when you know something isn't right: stop minimizing what you're feeling, tell someone the whole truth, and make a plan to get the support you need.
