Overcoming Postpartum Depression | Support, Hope, Advice, Biblical Encouragement, PPD, Newborn
Are you feeling isolated, misunderstood and lacking positive support? Do you struggle to see a world without emotional and mental distress? Are you overwhelmed, exhausted and feeling the pressure to act “normal?”
Hi Mama, I’m so happy you’re here! This podcast will provide hope, encouragement and practical solutions for everyday living so you can stop barely surviving, start fully thriving and get back to feeling like yourself faster!!
Hi, I’m Stephanie. A mom of 4, wife and Jesus lover. I was almost defeated by postpartum depression after the births of my first two children. I was flailing and afraid in therapy, burnt out by a support system that didn’t understand, and completely drowning in overwhelming daily tasks and emotions.
I finally realized that if I wanted to survive, much less thrive, the next time had to be different.
For my next two children, I created and then successfully implemented a plan that constantly reminded me that there was a light at the end of the tunnel, and eventually allowed me to overcome postpartum depression and fully thrive as a mom.
If you are ready to find hope, knowledgeable support and practical steps to reign in the overwhelm that you can implement today, then this podcast is for you. I promise you are not alone and that there IS hope!
So take a second to close your eyes…take a deep breath in…exhale…and let’s take that first step together. Here we go!

Hi Mama,
Have you ever looked around at your baby, your home, or your life and wondered how everyone else seems to be managing when you can barely make it through the next hour?
Have you ever questioned whether things could really get better—or if the darkness you’re feeling is simply your new reality?
Are you desperate for hope but unsure where to find it when postpartum depression has left you feeling broken, exhausted, and alone?
In this episode, I share the deeply personal story of my very first experience with postpartum depression while living overseas as a missionary in Asia. I open up about the moments when hope felt impossibly far away, the shame and fear I carried, and how Biblical hope became the lifeline that sustained me through the darkest season of my life. Together, we explore three powerful truths about hope, why faith and pain can exist side by side, and how healing often begins with one small step forward. If you are hanging on by a thread today, this episode is for you.

Love,
Stephanie

Hi Mama,
Have you been wondering whether what you're feeling after having a baby is normal—or if it could be something more?
Do you find yourself struggling with sadness, anxiety, overwhelm, or disconnection but aren't sure if it might be postpartum depression?
Are you looking for a clear understanding of what postpartum depression actually is so you can recognize the signs and get support sooner?
In this episode, I explain what postpartum depression really means and why understanding it can be a critical step toward healing. I share part of my own story of struggling after the birth of my first daughter and discuss five important things every mom should know about postpartum depression. We talk about why it's more than just sadness, why it's a medical condition rather than a personal failure, how early recognition can make a difference, how it can impact daily life and bonding, and why recovery is possible with the right support. If you've been questioning what you're experiencing, this episode will help you better understand the signs and remind you that help and hope are available.

Hi Mama,
Have you ever felt like well-meaning encouragement just doesn't land when you're struggling with postpartum depression?
Do comments like "Hope you have a great day!" leave you feeling frustrated because you're simply trying to survive the next hour?
Are you wondering what actually helps a mom who is overwhelmed, exhausted, and carrying the weight of postpartum depression?
In this episode, I share a personal story from one of the hardest seasons of my postpartum depression journey and explain why small acts of practical support often mean more than the most encouraging words. We talk about three simple ways to genuinely help a struggling postpartum mom: lightening her mental load, meeting a physical need, and sitting with her without trying to fix her. Whether you're struggling yourself or supporting someone who is, this episode will help you understand what truly makes a difficult day feel a little more manageable.
